Duties:

• Great customer service is the main priority
• Diesel Parts knowledge is a requirement
• Take notes in order to properly meet customers needs
• Monitor and maintain parts inventory
• Gets all unneeded parts and cores returned and credited quickly
• Keeps the shop's inventory free of discontinued or obsolete stock.
• Order parts for trucks scheduled to come in the following week
• Order all needed parts for trucks in the shop after the trucks have been inspected and customer authorization is received
• Create purchase orders for parts orders for each job so that they can easily be matched up with the repair order
• Hold the customer file in your "waiting for parts" rack until all needed parts arrive.
• Place all parts on correct orders.
• When parts arrive from vendors, check them against the orders to ensure everything was received. Physically inspect parts for damage.
• Label every part with the appropriate customer to simplify the identification and return process when necessary
• Place parts in the designated location foe each tech and let service manager know they are there so they can inspect them to ensure the parts are correct and undamaged.
• If there are parts delays, ensure the service manager is informed of the delay and estimated delivery date.
• Keep parts room neat, clean, and organized
